With over 10 years experience as a nurse and over five years as an Infection Preventionist, she has dedicated her career to improving patient safety and reducing hospital-acquired infections through evidence-based practices. Michele's clinical expertise spans infection control, patient safety, and healthcare quality improvement. She has successfully led initiatives that have reduced rates of Catheter-Associated Urinary Tract Infections (CAUTI), Catheter-Associated Bloodstream Infections (CLABSI), Clostridioides difficile infections (CDI), and Surgical Site Infections (SSI). Skilled in data management, clinical training, and policy development, she has combined technical proficiency with strong leadership to support healthcare teams in achieving measurable outcomes and fostering a culture of safety. As a lifelong learner and educator, Michele earned a Master of Science in Nursing Education and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Arlington, as well as a Bachelors in Business Administration from California State University San Bernardino. She is a Certified Infection Preventionist (CIC) and enjoys sharing her knowledge through professional advocacy, speaking engagements, and thought leadership on platforms like LinkedIn.
